4Good First Effort

By Volpot

I enjoyed this book. The author's essay and a story remind me rather Tamora Pierce (but a small some-more adult oriented) or presumably some of Sherwood Smith's stories.

The simple story is about a commoner lady who, in a mangle with tradition, is postulated a event to sight as a Lady in use of a Queen. The book fundamentally covers her initial year in a school. What creates a story engaging is that a nobles of a area have enchanting talents; commoners do not...yet after attainment a heroine discovers that she though has a singular form of magic. Her trials and tribulations perplexing to fit in with a nobles while perplexing to learn to be a lady (yeah, who saw that coming) and learn her sorcery while she gets smitten with a immature king (yeah, saw that one entrance too, lol) is a categorical theme. Added to that is a swindling to overpower a sovereignty that involves a heroine in a singular and dangerous ways.

The impression growth is adequate, a essay decent, and a world-building and sorcery complement well-done. All in all, while not violation new ground, a book moves during a decent rate and kept my interest. Lastly, during slightest in this initial book, it's not what I'd call chick-lit.

Now my one criticism: The heroine winds adult comatose distant too much. Practically any chapter. She overextends herself behaving her magic: Unconscious afterwards. A bad man puts a spell on her: Rendered unconscious. She gets in a fight: Unconscious after. Goes snooping in tip passages: Trips and knocks herself unconscious. Goes to a lavatory and takes a shower: Slips and knocks herself unconscious. (OK, OK, we finished that final one up). But it literally was roughly any chapter. It became a diversion to try to expect what would do it subsequent as we examination any chapter. In a USA there is now a large thing about safeguarding athletes (like football players) who humour several concussions. Using a medical standards being discussed in a USA, a bad heroine after all her episodes of swoon wouldn't even be authorised to perspective a football diversion on television! So my recommendation to a author: give a bad lady a break....cut off her arm or something. No, not really. That was another joke. The arm partial was.

Bottom Line: Good Book. I'll buy a sequel.

4Great book - even if it was full price

By politics girl

This is my initial created examination ever and we feel compelled to by this author.

The author has a talent for describing and portrayal a new universe though not tedious me with extreme adjectives and descriptions of scenery. The categorical impression is interesting in her clumsiness, desirable and picturesque in her flaws. There is some intrigue with a categorical impression though a whole story does not revolve around intrigue though some-more around a characters growth during justice and in life. A small intrigue is always good to turn out a story.

Some flaws, we suspect are a ancillary characters, that a author does not excavate into much. They are not one dimensional though maybe usually 2 dimensional. we wish to learn some-more of them in another book.

Regardless, we examination this fast and with a smile. The author left room for a supplement (without withdrawal us during a cliffhanger, that i appreciate) and self-published or not, we wish to see a second book.

I would have paid full cost for this book, hindsight being 20/20. Definitely value a examination during this price.

5This is a unequivocally fun book

By A. Neal

Though we have never reviewed a book on Amazon before, we figured we should start here. This was such a fun book to read, we could not stop myself. we neglected critical chores and errands and didn't comprehend it until it was too late. If we wish to be swooped into Jenna's land of mystery, romance, and fantasy, afterwards we should buy this book. If we wish to get something finished tonight and tomorrow, don't buy this book. Actually, only cancel your skeleton and examination this book anyway, we won't be disappointed.
